Students shine at Regent’s Fashion and Design Show

Marking the end three and four years’ work, students from Regent’s University London‘s fashion and design courses showcased their talents at the University’s Marylebone Campus on Thursday 19 May 2016. In addition to attending the private catwalk show, several hundred guests admired achievements in design, marketing, interior design and communication design.

The event also welcomed industry representatives from Hobbs, Agent Provocateur, After Nyne, Debenhams, Freudenberg, Smoke Magazine, River Island, Kleins, Bloomsbury, Hearst Corporation and Natific AG. The Regent’s Fashion and Design shows are now open to the public at the University’s Marylebone Campus until 3 June, 2016.

Prestige London on the Catwalk

Prestige London being held at Old Billingsgate and St Katharine’s Docks, held its first ever fashion show yesterday evening as part of a multi-level event for luxury yachts, boats and prestige cars. With London home to more than twice the number of millionaires and billionaires than any other city on earth (source: The Sunday Times) it is arguably the world’s most important financial centre.

Luxury hosiery, r-t-w, swim and intimate apparel brands took part in the fashion show.

A whole section of the show was dedicated to Calzedonia’s new swimwear sport line, a collection that combines technical performance with Italian style, and a retro inspired crochet collection was also presented during the show.

Andres Sarda Autumn/Winter 2016

Andres Sarda transformed his Autumn/Winter 2016 catwalk into an idyllic hotel, located in a snow-covered alpine landscape where all dreams can come true. The hotel’s best guests and personnel are introduced to spectators amid a wealth of details, contrasting colours and exquisite fabrics. White and black together with gold and silver lead the way, followed by bold contrasts of red, aubergine, rust, cocoa and deep blue.

Textures also played a big part in the collection including organza silk, satins, tulle and the brand’s characteristic Chantilly lace, as well as surprising twists with lurex, sequin embroidery, invisible tulle and Swarovski crystals. Highlights from the show include high waist briefs, bras with jewel applications, chain sets, lace bodies and tailored corsets that glorify the female body.

Lascivious collaborates with Julien Macdonald for AW16 show

Luxury British brand Lascivious have collaborated with Welsh fashion designer Julien Macdonald, famous for dressing some of the world’s most famous women, to create lingerie pieces that complemented his Autumn/Winter 2016 collection. Lascivious’ iconic designs featured on the London Fashion Week catwalk earlier this week amid sequins, feathers, embroideries and sumptuous details.

Ultimo makes LFW debut at House of Holland catwalk show

Ultimo made its London Fashion Week debut this weekend at the House of Holland catwalk show, which featured Ultimo’s latest lingerie accessories under 3 key looks. British brand House of Holland is best known for creating bold designs that exude confidence, and the Ultimo bralettes were hand selected by Henry Holland as the perfect companion to his AW16 collection after noticing a synergy between the styles. Henry adds: “Pairing my AW16 collection with Ultimo was a considered move, as I felt their lingerie would have a supportive presence on my runway.”

Moda unveils new look

Moda opened this morning in Hall 6 unveiling a smart new presentation both on the exhibition floor and in the fashion show. The show sponsored by LYCRA welcomed new brands including Agio, Taylor + Rani, Bain de Nuit, Forever Unique, Le Chat, Love Laura, Secret Weapons, Zohara and large cup specialist Michelle Morren. Moda Lingerie & Swimwear Show continues until Tuesday 4pm.
