The first commercial collection using the new LYCRA® BEAUTY COOLING technology was developed by Austrian manufacturers Willy Hermann, Eurovet’s Designer of the Year 2016, and will be presented at Interfilière Paris in January. Launched last September, the COOLING technology by LYCRA® BEAUTY brand was designed in response to consumer needs for increased sophistication and shapewear comfort, after consumer research conducted by INVISTA indicated 69% of female consumers find moisture management in shapewear to be extremely or very important, with only 42% satisfied.
“To ensure we bring our customers the latest in intimate apparel, we collaborate with LYCRA® for our fabric innovations. Therefore we are very happy to be the 1st ever mill to have LYCRA® BEAUTY COOLING technology certified fabrics commercially available in Europe. Depending on the customer need, the offering reaches from lightweight to heavier fabrics – but of course all with long-lasting shaping performance and moisture management”, says Ralph Hermann, Managing Director Willy Hermann GmbH.
Eurovet has announced Mode City and Interfilière will move to Lyon for its July 2016 edition, as Paris prepares to host the final of the Euro 2016. The impact of such a large-scale event on hotel occupancy, airlines and the rise in prices in accommodation already observed near Porte de Versailles prompted the decision to move.
Linked by roads to many nearby countries such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Spain, Lyon is also a centre for textiles, arts and culture, and hosts well-known international events such as the Biennale de la Danse and the Light Festival. The two leading shows left Lyon for Paris in 2008, and since then Lyon has increased its hotel capacity and accessibility. In order to ensure the best possible transition for visitors, Eurovet has set up a hotel booking platform offering negotiated prices on www.modecity.b-network.com or www.interfiliere.b-network.com and +33 4 93 68 76 00.
London based lingerie brand Standard Drawers will make its global première at Interfilière this weekend. Exhibiting in the Meryl Lounge (Stand F102), the brand will introduce its second lingerie collection featuring the new Meryl microfibre, which gathers several properties including multifilament comfort, breathability, freshness, lightness, “peach-touch” and anti-pilling function. Both Mode City and Interfilière visitors are invited to RSVP and attend the cocktail reception on Saturday 4th July from 3.30pm.
“We saw Meryl’s new fabric last year at Interfiliere and fell in love with it! Our goal is to use technologically advanced materials to create simple but beautiful garments. Meryl Sublime is an incredibly luxurious fabric that is not only ultra-soft but incredibly breathable and durable which makes it perfect for our collection of wardrobe essentials,” said Standard Drawers designer Jenette Coduto.
This July, Interfilière Paris and Paris Capitale de la Création will honour Italian company Eurojersey, leader of the textile industry for the production of patented warp knit Sensitive® Fabrics, with the Beachwear Designer of the Year title. Interfilière Paris celebrates its 30th Anniversary this July with the 25nd edition of the Evolution trends guide. The Autumn/Winter 2016-17 trends presented below speak of lingerie as a celebration of fun, an antidote against hardship and are above all a praise of beauty for all ages, silhouettes and moments.
Winter forests with light nuances, ideal for surface decoration and romantic organic patterns. A spectacular and festive option enlivened with accents of fairy tale.
From Summer into the heart of Winter with herbal flowers and leaves. Honour to small scale patterns, adorable colours and a revisit of Central European folk art as inspiration for embroideries and prints.
Beyond the obvious inspirations for lace and other lingerie classics, this is about lingerie in the context of the modern multifunctional wardrobe anchored in urban cultures. Influences for this new way to look at lingerie range from art to sport.
Lingerie as part of the female seductive armour. From functional foundations creating a perfect silhouette to extravagant and festive pieces that wish to be noticed.
Mode City will once again lead the way for fashion, couture, beachwear and lingerie collections at Porte de Versailles, bringing together over 450 exhibiting brands from 40 countries. For the 2015 edition, the show will launch a new architectural concept with an improved floor plan and innovative services designed to shake up old habits and inspire new connections.
The new trade show layout has creativity at its core with the Limited Edition sector for young designers, the Trends Forum and Eurovet consulting services at the centre of the pavilion. Stands in this area will have lower 1.5m walls and sector leaders will be positioned in an amphitheatre arrangement, giving a more balanced presentation to the Mode City stands.
Mode City and Interfiliere will have two shared entrances and pre-registered visitors will access the pavilion via a raise walkway overlooking the two trade shows, allowing for a 360° view. For better trade show circulation, Mode City will also use a blue line on the floor to create a clear pathway through all show sectors: Just Fashion, Accessories, Designer Labels, The Essentials and Cocooning, Limited Edition and Super Heroes.
Focusing on innovation and performance, the trade show’s summer edition has given the prestigious ‘2014 Beachwear Designer of the Year’ award to Italian company SITIP, in recognition of their excellence. Created in 1970, SITIP is a specialist in warp-weft stretch fabrics and circular knits active in different sectors such as sports and medical, and since 2007 has also taken a slice of the beachwear and lingerie markets.
At Interfilière Paris, SITIP will present for the first time a collection of beachwear prints exclusively made in Italy, using fabrics with exceptional recovery or chlorine resistant qualities and microfibers made from recycled materials.
