Rosy‘s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection was unveiled at Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris, featuring new colours in silk including Sapphire Blue and Silver Grey with exquisite cut-out lace and fine Swiss embroidery. The complete collection can be seen at the Moda Lingerie & Swimwear Show in Birmingham (21 – 23 February 2016) and Wolf have also released a behind the scenes video from the AW16 photoshoot.
After showcasing playful lingerie in a circus atmosphere, the ‘Garden of Dreams’ catwalk show at Salon International de la Lingerie illustrated the Sincerity trend, an invitation to meditation in a Japanese-style winter garden. This season calls for a new aesthetic, making the pursuit of serenity the focus of our daily lives. Romantic and traditional silhouettes are modernised by using extremely light materials, playing with sheerness like the veins of evanescent leaves, and the softness of the fabrics are reminiscent of stems in a warm cocoon.
Casual lingerie is modernised with transparency and contrasting colours, and a vintage trousseau style updates the girdle spirit with openwork paneling. Even pared-down lingerie is refined with structured lines highlighted by lace, whilst tailored pyjamas with floral stripes reveal the ambiguity of a feminine-masculine style.

The unmissable trade event for the entire industry, Salon International de la Lingerie returned to Paris last weekend offering a preview of AW 2016/17 trends. For this edition, the atmosphere was built around two opposing inspirations: Sincerity, an invitation to meditation in a Japanese-style winter garden, and Distraction, which sees playful lingerie take centre stage with extravagant details.
‘Striptease’ silhouettes, golden stripes and stars inspired by the circus universe decorated colourful lingerie and nightwear. An abundance of frills, layered tulles and petticoats reveal a sophisticated silhouette for an alluring French cancan, with ostrich feathers, boas and fans mixed with large coloured graphic motifs.
The “Vintage Circus” catwalk show illustrated the Trends Forum DISTRACTIONS trend, where sexy and confident women sported frivolous lingerie in velvet, dotted swiss and flocked tulle.

After being awarded the ‘Designer of the Year 2016’ title by Salon International de la Lingerie, Hanro is pleased to announce its latest achievement with the opening of the brand’s first US shop-in-shop. The new 235 square foot boutique is located within the new Bloomingdale’s at Ala Moana Center, the largest shopping mall in Hawaii, and pays homage to Hanro’s NYC flagship aesthetic through its sleek and modern design.
“Bloomingdales is a wonderful retail partner and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce our boutique shop-in-shop concept in the U.S. with them in such an exciting and growing market,” said Jan Snodgrass, President of Hanro USA.
The boutique is located in the intimates department on the second floor, and features a selection of Hanro products including loungewear, lingerie, sleepwear, and daywear for both men and women.
The Salon International de la Lingerie achieved good attendance figures despite of the recent events in Paris and of course, the economic crisis in Russia meaning some countries were under-represented this season. Exhibitors were upbeat and virtually without exception agreed that the quality of visitors and business done was good. The catwalk events were as usual to packed houses.
On the fabrics exhibition (Interfiliere), silk and loungewear were the focus this year and fittingly artisan French brand, Marjolaine, won the Designer of the Year 2015. Forward dates for the summer event are 4-6 July 2015.
