The oldest course dedicated to intimate apparel design in the world, Contour Fashion BA (Hons) at DMU has consistently led innovative solutions in the intimate apparel industry and has been engaging fashion houses, retailers, manufacturers and suppliers for the past 67 years. This academic year, the course has been selected to represent creative higher education as part of the GREAT Festival of Creativity – the British Government’s flagship global marketing campaign which aims to showcase the very best of what Britain has to offer – and will be exhibiting work in Brazil in support of the World Cup.

Nichole de Carle, designer and director of luxury lingerie and swimwear brand Nichole de Carle London, graduated from DMU on 2007 and attended yesterday’s catwalk show. “It is exciting to see that the lingerie sector has a lot more opportunity within the fashion world”, – said Nichole. – “The platform really gives a voice to contour design within the fashion circuit, which creates an incentive and employment advantage for the current and future contour students.”
