Hanro opens first US shop-in-shop at Bloomingdale’s in Honolulu

After being awarded the ‘Designer of the Year 2016’ title by Salon International de la Lingerie, Hanro is pleased to announce its latest achievement with the opening of the brand’s first US shop-in-shop. The new 235 square foot boutique is located within the new Bloomingdale’s at Ala Moana Center, the largest shopping mall in Hawaii, and pays homage to Hanro’s NYC flagship aesthetic through its sleek and modern design.

“Bloomingdales is a wonderful retail partner and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce our boutique shop-in-shop concept in the U.S. with them in such an exciting and growing market,” said Jan Snodgrass, President of Hanro USA.

The boutique is located in the intimates department on the second floor, and features a selection of Hanro products including loungewear, lingerie, sleepwear, and daywear for both men and women.

Hanro‘s lingerie, nightwear and loungewear Spring/Summer 2016 collections combine vibrant summer colours in variations of blue, jade, coral and orange with soft pastels for a relaxed yet luxurious look. Versatile and functional down to the smallest detail, pieces are created from cotton, tulle, modal, satin and silk with feminine lace and embroidery as well as alluring transparent elements.

In the lingerie collection, light shades of rosé and salmon are combined with bright coral and aqua, and the newest highlight is a discreet colour blocking story in subtle colours and contrasting play of fabrics. Seams are reduced to a minimum due to the innovative lace technology and camisoles can be worn as both inner-wear and outerwear.

Hanro’s nightwear offering brings a lot more than nightshirts and pyjamas to sleep in. Showcasing casual lounge styles made of micromodal and cotton, the luxury lies in the detail with modern seaming, new sleeve treatments, interesting piping details and cut-outs, sophisticated silk chiffon inserts and graphic embroidery. The refined collection also offers luxurious nightwear made of printed silk, micromodal silk and the exclusive Sea Island cotton.

Hanro launches Mona Lisa capsule collection for AW15

Following the success of the ‘Universe of Hanro’ capsule collection for the brand’s 130th anniversary in 2014, Hanro now launches a new women’s capsule collection called Mona Lisa to be developed in every upcoming season, as a 4th delivery date. Heike Dückers, Head of Product & Design at Hanro explains: “There seems to be a desire for matching, harmonic mini-collections with styles that are perfectly matching, yet allow creativity and individual combinations to create fresh, personal looks. So we decided to continue with this capsule range in every season, with modern seasonal colours and designs.”

The collection consists of 13 styles ranging from glamorous underwear, nightwear and loungewear. Flowing viscose satin, delicate lace, micromodal, and an exclusive mix of merino wool, viscose and cashmere are used in this Hanro collection, featuring beautiful shades of bronze, anthracite and an extravagant mosaic print.

Hanro appoints new Global Sales Director

Brigitte Hardt HANRO Director of Global SalesBrigitte Hardt, who joined luxury lingerie and loungewear brand Hanro in 2007, was appointed new Global Sales Director effective March 1, 2015. In her new role, Brigitte is responsible for worldwide sale of Hanro products and liaising with managers for the countries where the brand has the highest turnover – USA, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France and Italy.

As Director of Global Sales, Brigitte will ensure a closer cooperation of the markets and a globally consistent sales strategy in all countries. In her prior role as export manager, she developed and enhanced the HANRO distribution into 40 countries and has gained comprehensive sales knowhow in the area of premium underwear.

International producer of luxurious lingerie, nightwear and loungewear, Hanro, has opened its first store in Amsterdam (and 8th worldwide with other stores in New York, Beijing, London, Rome, Munich, Vienna and Graz). Interior3 The 30 sq m shop is housed in a building once owned by the major of Amsterdam right in the heart of the city (at Vijzelstraat). MD, Stephan Hohmann, commented: “The new boutique enables us to show our Dutch customers the full collection and the whole ‘World of Hanro.”

HANRO introduces Soft Touch

Hanro increases its Women’s Basic Daywear collection with Soft Touch, a modern range made from asuper-soft 5% elastane micromodal fabric with a subtle sheen. The body-hugging pieces enable a close fit to follow every movement and can be worn as underpinnings or outerwear.

Soft Touch comprises 9 styles: top with adjustable spaghetti straps, tank top with wide neckline, top, short and long sleeve shirts, mini brief, midi brief, high cut maxi brief and a low cut panty. The range will be available in stores from 15 July 2015 in sizes XS-XL.

Hanro presents new Basic range YOGA

Specialist for luxury daywear and nightwear HANRO increases its loungewear collection‚ HANRO Knits, with the new Basic range YOGA. The smart designs made from soft and supple micromodal with elastane offer ideal wearing comfort and ease of movement, making it the perfect choice for yoga, pilates, or other light sports.

The YOGA series from the all-year Basic collection comprises five styles including a sporty tank top with racer-back, short sleeve shirt with wide neckline and no side seams, long sleeve shirt, long Yoga-pant with comfortable wide waistband and a ¾ – pant with fashionable wide cuffs. YOGA will be offered in colors taupe grey and black from 15 August 2015 and a seasonal trend collection will be offered for Autumn/Winter 2015 including a shrug-jacket, a comfortable tailored pullover with slash pockets and lounge pants with a corded draw string waistband.
